What: It is always inspiring to see what new possibilities technological progress offers.


What is it about: An innovative engineer named Guillermo Martinez uses 3D printers to produce simple prostheses that he makes available to people in third-world countries.

Due to the price collapse of 3D printers, this technology is now freely available and thus offers innovative ideas a good opportunity to be implemented quickly without exorbitant start-up investments. The approach of a simple tendon system, which is controlled by simple movements of the existing limbs, in combination with the possibilities of the 3D printer, makes this idea so captivating - combining know-how and doing some good with it.
